| CEP 7.0 release for FIFA 2009!The first CEP version for FIFA 2009 released!by OckHAM posted on Friday, January 2, 2009 ![]() Career Expansion Patch Last minute update: an update to the 4th part of the installer has been released during the first hours of the 3th January, including the solution for the problem of compatibility with Rinaldo's Creation Master. If you have downloaded part 4 in the very first hours of the release, please re-download it so to have a full 100% CM compatible version, thanks :) So finally with the new year we have the new version of CEP for FIFA 2009 too :) Let's in detail what the CEP 7.0 for FIFA 2009 feature. As usual you'll find the greatest expansion available for FIFA regarding new leagues, tournaments, national teams and everything related, all the new leagues available for 2008 version have been converted to play with this year version of the game and you can find the list of them in the LEAGUES section of this website. I'm very proud of the work done on the database for this year: the first step of this work of remaking has been to recalculate effective players rating on the basis of their real market value. This has been possible thanks to one of the greatest football resource on the net that I strongly suggest you: www.transfermarkt.de. All the main leagues (first, second and third divisions too for the top leagues) have been "re-worked" in this way, so you can have a sort of "adidas live season" update based on the value that the players have actually on the transfer market. The second step has been to redone completely the physical attribute and the face of the players using their respective CEP minihead (actually you have 17.200 miniheads included with CEP, and the work is always in progress, hoping to give a picture for each of the about 50.000 players present in the CEP db): this work is not completed yet, as I wanted to release a first version for 2009 during the first week of this new year, but be sure that I will release almost monthly the db updates containing the other part of this work. You can find the list of the leagues for which the work on physical attributes has been done in the Leagues section, as usual. The installer of the CEP is composed of five parts: the first one containing all the gui elements, with a weight of 120 Mb: all the minikits have been created using a personal method of minikit generation from kits graphics, so to give uniformity to the style of the minis. Personally I don't like the new model of minikits of FIFA 2009, but of course if you don't like CEP ones you can always download and install other minis packs. The second and the third parts are the Zdatas: some original ones containing modified graphics with updated kits for this season, and the new zdatas with the graphics for the new teams and leagues; these parts are 480 and 630 Mb. A quick note about kits: everyone know that 2009 format is a 2008 resized to 512x1024 and that the new template used by EA is without shadows: the kits of the CEP do have shadows, this for two reasons: for first is impossible for me to create 1.890 x 3 kits, and more than this i find that the effect of a 2008-style shadows with the 2009 template is very good and it's not a problem for the in game graphics. Last thing about kit: you'll find a lot of new third kits in the game, be sure to check the EA shop to unlock them all. I had to remove the unlockable balls from the shop to let the space available for third kits, that I find more interesting. The fourth part contains as usual the db files (the game database and the language files), more the last-minute files I found missing or wrong, the weight is 14 Mb and this will be the only part to be updated with the future releases of CEP 2009. The languages supported until now are the following: Brazilian, Dutch, English, french, German, Italian, Mexican, Portuguese and Spanish, I hope to release soon Swedish, Danish and Russian too so please if you can send me the db of these languages by mail at fifaock@yahoo.it I'll include them in next update. The last part is the Miniheads addon, with 415 Mb that I STRONGLY suggest you to download, as it's an integral part of the CEP project to include a photography for each single players. A quick note about what is included in CEP 2009, follows:
And of course the huge expansion at which CEP users are used: New Leagues and Tournaments
New National Cups
Goodies and Extras
Now let's talk about negative stuff you'll find at the actual state of the CEP for FIFA 2009 :) There is yet no custom stadium available in CEP 2009: stadiums can be easily converted from FIFA 2008 and I hope to release a fifa.db compatible with the most important stadiums patch soon, but actually we are still limited by the fifa.fat size: when the fifarus community will release as for the past year a modification for the exe be sure that I'll work on a further expansion of the game regarding more stadiums and graphical files. The fifa.fat limit is the same reason for which you'll find some t122 fsh (team logos) in the main directory of FIFA: this is to let a bit of fifa.fat size free letting you add something that you find useful, as some stadiums, heads, anything that you want to put in the zdatas. When the fifa.fat limit will be resolved I'll release an update with the fsh files in a further zdata.big. Ok, this is a bit technical, and just for the ones interested in the FIFA editing, the others can ignore the last period :). For the immediate future I plan to complete the work on the physical attribute for leagues that already have a minihead addon, then to update main leagues with the winter market and to update the leagues that are still at the past season regarding the rosters (check Leagues section): so a long and precise work to improve realism and precision. As always you are welcome to personally update, modify and improve the CEP fifa.db, and I suggest you to share your creation with the other users: of course it's very hard for me to keep updated, for example, Iceland league, or Swedish second division, Ecuador transfers etc. so if you think you can help updating the leagues you find outdated working with CM you can submit your work by mail at fifaock@yahoo.it so that everyone can play with a more detailed and precise version of CEP. I hope to restyle and improve a "collaboration" section for CEP so you can know exactly which "standard" you have to use if you want to submit your updates realized with the wonderful Creation Master tool. So, I think this is all for now, you can go to the Downloads section and start downloading the files, install CEP with the following order: part1, part2, part3, part4 and miniheads: just be sure to install CEP on a "fresh" installation of FIFA (no custom stuff at all, just to be sure that it works, then you can put whatever you want in your game of course :D ), and PLEASE be sure to let the rebuild.bat run at the end of the installation of the part4: the fifafs batch will fix your zdata, fifa.fat stuff etc. I hope you can enjoy the effort of these many months of work, sorry for the errors you'll find in this patch and I hope you can help me improving it :) About CEP 6.0 for FIFA 2008 I should be able to release a fix within to next days including some fixes on some bugs located, to allow FIFA 2008 users to keep playing with CEP; sadly no roster update will be released for the past year platform. Some VERY last notes: a special thank to Rinaldo for his wonderful tools, and to Outsider87 of www.fifamania.it for his wonderful "personal" utilities, that have been incredibly useful to complete the CEP of this year. I STRONGLY suggest to download and install two add-ons from fifamania: the Cinematics Patch 09 by Outsider87 on fifamania, available here, and the AC12 gameplay from fifamania that will really improve the dynamic of the game, available here. Enjoy :)
