| Sweetpatch TV on TourThis weekend SFTLA Legends Nidge and Aubs visited the home of Sweetpatch TV in sunny Cornwall as we had a weekend of FIFA fun. Check out our blog of the weekend here...by David Witts posted on Monday, June 22, 2009 It was great to learn this week that SFTLA founders and legends Nidge and Aubs Morrison were going to come down and visit us here in Cornwall, the home of Sweetpatch TV. FridayNidge and Aubs set off from their home land in Birkenhead and stopped over for the evening at Exeter Services. SaturdayThey then travelled down to sunny Cornwall on Saturday morning, arriving around lunchtime. With the Lions 1st test on the TV at 14:00 and a round of golf awaiting us, myself and younger son and FIFA player DanW set off to pick up Nidge and Aubs from their digs to go to St Enodoc golf course and firstly watch the test match. In a first half that South Africa dominated, you would not have predicted the 2nd half we saw where the Lions almost came back a snatched a game they looked well out of just after half time. Then it was out on to the golf course for a North v South encounter as Dan and myself teamed up against the brothers in arms. A great round was had as we lost plenty of balls but there was also plenty of good golf played. The South team taking the honours in the end. Then in the evening it was off to the local to take in some traditional Cornish beer (isn't Bud from round here somewhere?) and some live music. Taxi home for Nidge and Aubs and a brisk walk for me and Dans. SundayAs it was Fathers Day a well deserved lie in was in order. Nidge and Aubs came to meet me at 12:30 and then we went down to the world famous "Granny's Grotto" cafe where they serve the best breakfast in the South West. They also have the best waiter there to serve you as DanW serves his Dad and his Sweetpatch TV mates an awesome Granny's special breakfast - yummy! In the afternoon we played some FIFA and discussed everything around the FIFA scene and our future plans. Nidge and Aubs took a break when my parents and parents in-law came around for a Father's Day BBQ. Nidge and Aubs enjoyed another game as golf as I played chef. After the golf was over and our guests had departed, Nidge and Aubs returned and we finished off our future plans discussions and Nidge had another game of FIFA v DanW. As the day drew to a close Nidge and Aubs departed after fond farewells to return to their accommodation and sleep in preparation for their long journey home tomorrow. It was great to see the guys again and we had some great discussions and have some very exciting FIFA things coming for you in the months to come.
