Speaking about the partnership EA SPORTS, Dan Holman, Head of UK Product Marketing EA SPORTS said:

Commenting on his cover appearance the Welsh superstar said:

The partnership will see Bale become an EA SPORTS Football ambassador for the 2013/14 season. He will become the cornerstone of marketing and advertising campaigns in the UK and Ireland, featuring on packaging and utilised in other media activities. The Spurs winger will appear on the cover of FIFA 14 on the Xbox 360® games and entertainment system with Kinect™ from Microsoft, and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system with PlayStation Move support.
