insomnia47 (i47) ran from 30th November – 3rd December 2012 at The International Centre in Telford. For many gamers in the UK, and indeed Europe and beyond, the Insomnia LAN is now a British institution and staple part of the gaming calendar, with the event playing host to some of the biggest eSports tournaments in Europe, and annual host of the UK qualifiers for the World Cyber Games. The event, held 3 times a year at The International Centre in Telford, accommodates over 3000 gamers for 5 days; it’s certainly grown from it’s humble beginnings of no more than 50 all playing off one 10mb switch!
It-was this day 14 years ago that the original concept of the FIFA Multi Roster Assistant (FIFA-MRA) became a reality and this site first appeared on the Internet. 14 years later and we are still going strong and now providing all the top UK FIFA tournaments at both offline and online events. So i47 has quickly approached and since passed and wow, what an event it was. The event was 4 days in length starting officially on the Friday 30th November and ending Monday 3rd December. As always we had our very own Dave Witts running the event for all 4 days, along side him we had the familiar face of Aubs Morrison and a special guest admin young Jamie Witts.
