FIWC 2014 | Congratulations to August Rosenmeier Crowned World Champion

The final whistle blows and August “Agge” Rosenmeier of Denmark is the new FIWC 2014 World Champion winning 3-1 in a stunning final versus England’s Dave Bytheway! Congratulations August, $20,000 and a ticket to the FIFA Ballon D’Or is all yours!

Semi Finals

August Rosenmeier (DEN) 2 – 0 Steven van de Vorst (NED)

In the first semi final August’s Grabd Final expereibce cane to bear as he rogressed to teh final with a fairly comfortable 2-0 victory over Holland’s Steven van de Vorst (who would come 3rd winning $1,000 beating his fellow countryman Jorrick Boshove in the 3rd Place Play Off)

In a tense affair, Dave deservedly cane out on top after peppering Jorrick’s goal where a very inform Manuel Neuer stopped everything Dave could throw at him, until late on Dave swung in a deep backpost cross that was headed back over and beyond Neur for the only goal of the game. Dave proudly progressed to the Grand Final.

August Rosenmeier (DEN) 3 – 1 Dave Bytheway (ENG)

In an epic final, Dave took an early lead and seemed to be comfortably holding on until August whipped in a corner which the keeper made the initial save but the ball fell kindly for August to tap home.  That seemed to change the momentum of the game ad early in the 2nd half, August swang in another corner and his player rose in the box and headed home unchallenged.  Dave continued to battle but his challenge all came to an end when August’s Neymar gathered the ball and accelerated and skilled his way through Dave’s defence to blast home the winning goal.  August knew the title was his as he rose and celebrated this third goal.

A massive congratulations to August, whos’ time was right this year in his 3rd Grand Final.  He wins himself $20,000 and a ticket to the FIFA Ballon D’Or to meet all the world’s top footballers.

Dave had battled so well and we are all very proud of our Englishman making it to the Grand Final.  He comes away from Rio a very proud man and will celebrate his 21st birthday tomorrow $5,000 the richer.  A massive congratulations and a very happy birthday to him from all at Sweetpatch TV.

So that is the FIWC for another year

So another very successful season of the FIFA Interactive World Cup comes to an end and we now all await FIWC 2015, which kicks off on 1st October 2014.  Make sure you get yourself signed up to have a chance of emulating August’s amazing achievement.  Until next year…
