Bruce Grannec, also known as The Machine, is the best player in the world of football video games. An exclusive documentary film recounts his story in the recent world cup organized jointly by the FIFA and EA SPORTS in Dubai in May.
Bruce Grannec, 25 years old, is a professional virtual player. He is today the only one who has been crowned world champion both on FIFA and PES.
Bruce Grannec participated in three FIFA Interactive World Cup finals and hit the podium each time. He was world champion in 2009, finished third in 2010 and second this year in Dubai. A regularity never seen before.
On Sunday, April 15th 2012, he officially became French champion in Paris, Porte de Versailles and therefore earned the right to fly to Dubai in order to represent his country at the FIFA Interactive World Cup Finals (FIWC). The competition took place from 21 to 23 May 2012 and brought together the 24 best FIFA 12 players of the world. Bruce Grannec defeated all of his opponents before loosing to the Spanish Alfonso Ramos in a penalty shootout during an incredibly intense final.
For this occasion, a team of reporters had the opportunity to follow Bruce Grannec, get an insight into his personality and observe the preparation of the man who is regarded as the best player of the world.
This resulted in a documentary film compiling interviews of Bruce, his relatives as well as his opponents.
The title of the documentary, « The Machine », refers to Bruce’s nickname that comes from his ability to never show any emotion to his opponents.
The teaser will be available on July 6th 2012 and to celebrate this we will also have a unique interview with Bruce here at Sweetpatch TV. You have the unique opportunity to get your questions answered by a FIFA great. Please post them below and we will ask them to Bruce.
