Today we will be running the EGL8 FIFA 13 1v1 tournament for our partners at European Gaming League (EGL) taking place at Play Expo at Event City, Manchester. Our partners at the FVPA are pleased to announce the introduction of their FVPA Seasons League and Americas League for both European and teams from the Americas alike!
European: Number of Applications dependent, they’re looking at running as many divisions as possible, with the view to European competitions being run in conjunction with other VP sites across Europe! Within this, they’re having promotion and relegation as well as a cup competition built into the season to make it feel as though you’re actually competing in the real thing!
Americas: Similar to the MLS and their divisions, they’re going with an Eastern and Western set-up, allowing teams from each side of the Americas coast to be involved, to participate and head into the play offs to gun for glory for the first time on the FVPA!
Not only that, they’re wanting to improve users visual need and have headed away from League Republic, moving to JoomLeague; have your clubs crests shown within the league table…
Then they have Rivals…. What they can say is that Rivals is going through a massive overhaul; they’ve looked at user feedback, developed, created and are currently coding even MORE functionality for teams and players alike to use…at this time its not ready…BUT when it is…FVPA Seasons will, without doubt be ahead of the game!

Last week saw us attend 4 days at the Eurogamer Expo in Earls Court, London where we ran the Qualifiers and Grand Final of the UK’s World Cyber Games FIFA 12 qualification process. Check out our full review as Demetri Anastasiou was crowned UK champion and will represent us out in China at the World Final’s in November.
The Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) European Online Qualifier is organized by Esports Games Arena and is taking place today. The tournament is on single elimination format and it is an online tournament for countries without direct qualifying. (Ukraine, Romania, France, Netherlands are not allowed). Check out all the latest progress here as it draws to a close.
Games are on Best of three (you need two victories for win the game) with the first 3 places qualifying.
(Note that winners of the qualifiers will only win an invitation to compete in the ESWC Grand Finals in Paris. Travel and accomodation must be taken care of by the winning players themselves)

Last weekend at the Eurogamer Expo in Earls Court, London we were lucky enough to meet up with the FIFA YouTube Massive who lit up our weekend by providing a real footy atmosphere to the tournament of the UK’s World Cyber Games FIFA 12 qualification process. A set of FIFA YouTube mates came together for the weekend and supported their friend MattKPrince in an awesome, friendly and funny way. This video is a show of respect from us for their support over the weekend. We look forward too seeing a lot more of these lads on Sweetpatch TV this coming season!
