In this first episode of The Boot Room, Darren and Matt talk about Complete Dribbling. They discuss the finer points of the new face off dribbling which allows for players to face their opponent and use precise dribble touches combined with true 360 mobility with the ball.
Match magazine’s Darren Cross explains that using the left trigger and right triggers enables players to use this tactic when attacking, which makes space for a pass, or to run right past the defence!
Darren also outlines his favourite manoeuvre of baiting opponents – where, once in control of the ball he hops back, enticing his challenger to come in and try to snatch it back. The end result? Their momentum takes them in the wrong direction and gives you a bit more space to move sideways and away – a good tactic to use in the box to draw a foul.
Matt and Darren also explain the finer points of the criminally underused Precision Dribbling 2.0 – a handy mode that can be used by holding LB on your controller.
